Healthy Vegan Mini Snack Balls / No Bake Dessert (Step By Step Pictures)



This is really easy-to-prepare no bake vegan snack that will be ready in under 5 minutes.Also great to pack in your kids lunch box and i promise they will never know that mommmy packed a healthy dessert..:)



Healthy Vegan Mini Snack Balls / No Bake Dessert

Preperation Time:- 5 Minutes
Cooking Time:- 0 Minutes
Makes:- 15 mini balls

Ingredients:-

Whole Wheat Flour:- 1/4 Cup
Flax Seed Powder:- 1/8 Cup
Cocoa Powder:- 1/8 Cup
Toasted Sesame Seeds:- 1/8 Cup
Maple Syrup:- 1/8 Cup
Sugar (optional)



Procedure:-

Grind sesame seeds in the coffee grinder into a fine powder.

1) Mix whole wheat flour, flax seed powder ,cocoa powder and ground sesame powder in a bowl.

2) Add maple syrup and mix well.

3) Take 1/2 Tbsp of the mixture in your hands and roll into mini balls.

4) Then roll the balls in the sugar. ( This step is optional).

Serve & Enjoy..:)

Grilled Peaches With Honey / Healthy Snack



Want to make your farmers market peaches taste really delicious?Throw them on the grill. When you fire up these and other summer fruits, you give them an intensely sweet and smoky flavor that's pure decadence.



Grilling take the flavor of peach to the whole new level, i never knew peaches could taste so yumm..This is going to be my go to snack for now..Do indulge its just 61 calories



Grilled Peaches With Honey

Makes 6 Servings

Ingredients:-

Peaches, pitted & halved:- 3
Olive Oil:- 1 Tbsp
Honey:- 1 Tbsp

Procedure:-

1) Preheat the grill on high.

2) Cut the peaches in half; remove pits.

3) Brush cut side of the peach halves with olive oil and place on the grill, cut side down.

4) Grill until golden brown and caramelized, 2 to 3 minutes.

5) Turn peach halves over and grill until slightly soft and just warmed through, about 2 minutes longer.

6) Remove from the grill and drizzle with honey.

Serving Size:- 1/2 Peach

Cucumber Grape Salad With Black Olive & Mint Dressing / Healthy Salad Recipe



This healthy salad have a refreshing combination of ingredients , cucumber & mint which not only satisfy your taste buds but also gives you the nutrition you need.



Ingredients:-

Cucumber (Peeled) :- 1/2 of the medium size ( approx 1/2 cup cut into small cubes)
Grapes:- 10 ( cut in half )
Salt
A pinch of Sugar
Lemon juice:- 1 Tsp


Blend to make a puree :-
---------------------

Black Olives:- 1/4 Cup (Pitted)
Olive Oil:- 1/2 Tbsp
Black Pepper:- A Pich
Mint Leaves:- 6-7


Procedure:-

1) Mix cucumber, grapes , salt , sugar and lemon juice in a bowl.

2) In a blender make a puree/paste of black olives, olive oil, mint leaves & black pepper.

3) Add black olive and mint puree to the cucumber grape salad and mix everything well.

Serve immediately..

A Healthy Paneer Pakoda Recipe ( Easy Snack Or Appetizer)


Paneer/Indian Cottage Cheese dipped in gram flour ,semolina & bread crumbs batter and shallow fried on medium heat until crisp and brown. These are great snack or appetizer for any gatherings as they can be ready in no time.Also these can be packed for snack in your kids lunch box.



They are shallow fried instead of deep frying to make a healthy snack and i promise you won't miss the deep fried pakodas once you make and eat these.

Makes two servings / If you can share :)

Ingredients:-

Paneer/Indian Cottage Cheese:- 125 gm (cut into long thin pieces)
Besan/Gram Flour:- 3 Tbsp
Sooji/Semolina:- 1 Tbsp
Bread Crumbs:- 3 Tsp
Til/ Sesame seeds:- 1 Tsp
Salt
Chaat Masala:- 1/2 Tsp
Red Chilli Powder:- 1/2 Tsp
Garlic:- 1 Tsp (finely chopped)
Water
Oil for shallow frying

Procedure:-

1) In a big bowl mix together besan, sooji, bread crumbs, til, salt , chaat masala, red chilli powder & garlic.

2)Now add water (little bit at a time) to make a thick batter.

3)Heat the oil in a non tick pan on a medium heat.

4)Dip paneer pieces (one by one ) in the batter and apply the batter on both sides of the paneer.( The batter should stick on the paneer easily if its not sticking that means its too thin add little bit of besan to make the right consistency).

5)Place the paneer pieces on a pan and let it cook nicely until crisp and brown on one side then flip the paneer over and cook on the other side.

6)Repeat it with all the pieces.

Serve hot ..Sprinkle some chaat masala on top before serving.

How To Make Popcorn In Microwave With No Bag & No Oil



Yes , Believe it or not, you can make delicious, low-fat microwave popcorn using standard popping corn and a microwave safe bowl & plate. It does works perfectly. Best part is no oil needed so they are more healthier and no brown bag needed so more economical.

For my daughter , i spray them lightly with vegetable spray after they are done and sprinkle some salt over it

Ingredients:-

Unpopped Popcorn= 1/4 Cup
Microwave Safe Bowl
Microwave Safe Plate


Procedure:-

1) Put 1/4 cup popcorn in microwave-safe bowl & cover with microwave-safe plate.



2)Cook in microwave oven for 2 minutes, 45 seconds



3) Voila, they are done, Please be very cautious while removing them from microwave as they will be VERY HOT The steam’s just there making sure your popcorn popped to its full potential. Just remove the plate immediately after the timer ends so your popcorn doesn’t take a steam bath and get soggy.



Notes:- Also, you can re-microwave any unpopped kernels! Yeah, that’s right. Remove all of the popped (or semi-popped) kernels and put the unpopped ones back in again, same method. No waste and nothing to throw away!

Healthy Spicy Peanut Snack in 2 Minutes( Microwave Recipe)



Crunchy peanuts coated with a spicy chickpea/besan mixture make a perfect snack for a relaxed evening cup of tea.Beware these are really addicting too :)These are great way of making a variation of peanuts as snacks and much easier and healthier than the fried ones.



Be very careful whilst cooking them as even a few extra seconds in the microwave will make the nuts hard and difficult to bite into.

Makes 1 cup


    Ingredients:-

  • Salted peanuts , unskinned:- 1/2 Cup
  • Besan (bengal gram flour/Chickpea Flour):- 1/2 Cup
  • Chilli powder:- 2 Tsp
  • Fennel seeds (saunf) powder:- 1 Tsp
  • Black salt (sanchal):- 1 1/2 Tsp
  • Oil:- 1 Tbsp
  • Water:- 2 to 3 Tbsp


Procedure:-

1)Mix all the ingredients together in a bowl ensuring the batter coats the peanuts evenly.

2)On a greased microwave safe plate drop each of the coated peanuts separately and microwave on high for 1½ minutes.

Remove and cool. Store in an air-tight container.

Chick Pea Starter ( A Healthy Snack)


These chick peas are so addictive & is a great crunchy alternative to high-fat snacks, will satisfy anytime cravings. Make sure the chick peas are very dry before you put them in the pan to toast otherwise they will become mushy.Use the leftover toasted chick peas on salads or Pasta

Optional Additions:- Garlic salt, onion salt, cumin, lemon juice, chaat Masala (Use combination of any of these ingredients as per your taste)

Chick peas, drained and rinsed:- 2 (14-ounce) cans
Freshly ground black pepper:- 1 Tsp
Handful grated Parmigiano Reggiano

Procedure:-

1)After rinsing, dry chick peas in a kitchen towel.

2)In a dry nonstick skillet over medium heat add the chick peas

3)Season with black pepper, to taste, and cook, shaking pan often until chick peas are toasted and light golden brown, about 7 minutes

4)Stir in the cheese and toss to coat chick peas.

Semolina/Sooji/Suji Ke Toast (A Healthy Quick Snack)


Sooji/Semolina mixed with variety of veggies of your choice and topped on bread slice makes a great quick healthy snack..If you like you can toast the bread in the oven before and follow the same recipe to get a crunchier toast.



Ingredients:-

Semolina/Sooji:- 1 Cup
Curd:- 1 Cup
Bread- 2-3 slices
Onion(finely chopped):- 2 Tbsp
Coriander leaves:- 2 Tbsp
Green Chillies:- 1or 2(chopped)
Carrot (Grated):- 1/8 cup
salt
Garam Masala:- 1/4 Tsp
Chaat Masala:- 1/4 Tsp
Turmeric powder:- 1/4 Tsp
Oil for frying

Procedure:-

1)Cut the bread slices in the desired shape and set aside.

2)In a mixing bowl mix everything to make a thick batter.( Add water if needed).

3) Dip the bread in batter and apply the mixture on both sides.

4)Heat the oil in a pan and place the bread slice on it.Cook both sides of the bread until golden & crisp

Serve hot with Chutney or Tomato Sauce..Enjoy:)

Raw Apple Crisp - A Healthy Snack (No Cook Recipe)


A simple mixture of nuts, raisins and spices makes a delicious topping for Honeycrisp apples.(Please see note for more ideas)

Ingredients:-

Honey-crisp apples, cored and chopped- 4
Orange juice:- 1/4 cup
Pecan halves:-3/4 cup
Hazelnuts:-3/4 cup
Raisins:-3/4 cup
Ground ginger:-3/4 Tsp
Ground cinnamon:-3/4 Tsp

Procedure:-

1)Put apples in an 8-inch square baking dish or 2-quart casserole dish. Drizzle with orange juice, toss until the fruit is coated and smooth the top.

2)In a food processor, combine pecans, hazelnuts, raisins, ginger and cinnamon and pulse just until chopped. Spoon the nut mixture over the apple mixture and serve.

Nutrition:-
Per serving (about 4oz/106g-wt.): 220 calories (130 from fat), 14g total fat, 1g saturated fat, 0mg cholesterol, 0mg sodium, 25g total carbohydrate (4g dietary fiber, 17g sugar), 3g protein

Note:-

You can try to play with ingredients as per your taste ..I tried making the mixture with Walnuts(or almonds),Salted peanuts,raisins,ginger and cinnamon ..its tasted great..If you want you can add oatmeal to the mixture too ..If you don't like raw apple you can cook them a little and then sprinkle the mixture over it and enjoy as a Healthy dessert or healthy snack at anytime.
