Kala Chana Masala/ Black Chickpeas Stir Fry



Stir fry recipes are always great as they are quick, easy and can be prepared and served in no time .This simple & healthy black chickpeas stir fry can be made in a jiffy when you are short on time.



Ingredients:-

Oil:- 2-3 Tbsp
Cumin seeds:- 1 Tsp
Ginger:- 1 Tbsp(chopped finely)
Garlic:- 3 cloves (chopped finely)
Onion:- 1 Medium (chopped)
Tomato:- 2 small (chopped)


Spices:-
-------------------------------
Turmeric powder/Haldi:- 1 Tsp
salt
Red Chilli powder:- 1 Tsp
Garam Masala Powder:- 1 Tsp


Boiled Kale chane/ Black chickpeas:- 2 1/2 Cups
Channa Masala:- 2 Tsp
Coriander powder:- 1 Tsp
Aamchoor powder/Dry mango powder:- 1/2 Tsp
Kala Namak/Black Salt:- 1/2 Tsp


Procedure:-

1) Heat oil in a pan..Add cumin & mustard seeds, allow it to splutter.

2) Add ginger & garlic and saute it.

3) Add onion and fry until they are translucent, Add tomato and all the spices ( salt, turmeric, red chilli powder & garam masla)

4) Mix everything well and cook until tomatoes are tender ..

5) Add black chickpeas, channa masala, coriander powder, aamchoor and black salt, mix everything well and switch off the gas

6) Let it sit covered in a pan for about 5 mins before serving.

Serve hot with rotis/chapati/Indian bread.

Urad Dal Uttapam / Urad Dal Pancake (Step By Step Recipe)



I had gestational diabetes in my second pregnancy so i was always looking for healthy recipes that help make my blood sugar level normal , so one of my dear friend shared this awesome urad dal uttapam/pancake recipe with me. This is great healthy breakfast that you can enjoy with any chutney you like.



Ingredients:-

Urad Dal:- 1 Cup
Carrot,Onion,Tomato:- 1/4 Cup each
Mint leaves:- 2 Tbsp
Cilantro leaves:- 2 Tbsp
Salt
Turmeric Powder:- 1/2 Tsp
Red Chilli Powder:- 1/2 Tsp
Garam Masala Powder:- 1/2 Tsp


Procedure:-

1) Soak Urad dal in water overnight.



2) Grind it into a smooth paste.



3)Cut all the vegetables & herbs.



4)Mix all the spices in the batter.



5)Mix all the vegetables & herbs in the batter.



6)Heat a oiled griddle/non stick pan over a medium heat..5) When hot pour 1/2 cup of batter and spread into a even layer( like a pancake)..



6) Let it cook at one side for 2-3 minutes golden brown and then flip over and cook the other side.



Serve hot with any chutney ..
