Black Eyed Peas Pancakes / Lobia or Raungi Ka Chilla ( Step By Step Pictures )



These delicious , protein packed, eggless savory pancakes makes a great breakfast meal..You can add finely chopped or grated vegetables to the batter to make it more healthier..Serve these along with any chutney, pickle ,yogurt or enjoy as it is with a cup of tea.



Ingredients:-

Black Eyed Peas :- 1 Cup (soaked overnight)
Turmeric/ Haldi:- 1/2 Tsp
Salt
Cumin seeds:- 1 Tsp
Onion:- 1/2 Medium size (roughly chopped)
Ginger:- 1 inch piece
Flax seed powder:- 2 Tbsp
All purpose flour/ Maida:- 1/4 Cup
Garam Masala Powder:- 1 Tsp (Optional)
Water:- 1 Cup (approx)




Procedure:-

1) Soak black eyed peas in water overnight.

2)Blend everything together in a blender until smooth.

3)Heat a oiled griddle/non stick pan over a medium heat.

4)When hot pour 1/4 cup of batter and spread into a even layer( like a pancake)..

5)Let it cook at one side until golden brown and then flip over and cook the other side.

Serve hot ..

Broccoli & Carrot Mini Pancakes



Surprise your mother by serving these easy and healthy pancakes in the morning for breakfast.You can prepare the vegetable mixture a night before and store in the refrigerator to save time in the morning.Even kids can help you to make these mini pancakes.



Ingredients:-

Broccoli :- 1 Cup (Cut the florets very finely)
Carrot:- 1 Cup (shredded)
All purpose flour:- 1/2 Cup
Whole Wheat Flour:- 1/2 Cup
Buttermilk:- 1 Cup(approx)
Shredded Cheese:- 3 Tbsp
Salt
Eno Fruit Salt:- 1 Tsp
Oil
Water


Procedure:-

1)Heat 1 tbsp of oil in a pan , stir fry broccoli and carrot for 3-4 minutes and set aside to cool.

2)In a bowl mix together all purpose flour, whole wheat flour, cheese, salt & butermilk to make pancake batter.

3)Add stir fried broccoli and carrot mixture in the pancake batter.

4)Heat the oil in a non stick pan.

5)Add eno fruit salt in a pancake batter and pour 1 tbsp of water over it , it will start fizzing , mix everything well very lightly (don't overmix)

6)Pour 1/3 cup of batter on a pan,let it cook for 2-3 minutes until golden brown and then flip over and cook the other side.

Repeat the process to make all the pancakes,Serve hot with Chutney , Pickle or curd..
