Cheese Potato & Tapioca Patty/ Aloo Cheese Or Sabudana Tikki



Tikkis are popular north indian street food which makes a great snack , appetizer or side dish. This recipe makes a great crispy outer crust and tender inside. You can add onions,cilantro or other finely chopped or grated veggies as per your taste.

Makes about 10

Ingredients:

Potatoes - 2 (boiled, peeled and mashed while hot)
Peanuts - 2 tbsp (roasted, skinned and crushed)
Sago/Sabudana/Tapioca:- 4 tbsp( soaked in water for 1/2 hour)
Cheese:- 1/3 Cup
Bread Crumbs:- 1/4 Cup
Salt
Red Chilli Powder:- 1/2 Tsp
Chaat Masala :- 1 Tsp
Oil for shallow frying


Procedure:-

1)Squeeze the water out from Sabudana/Tapioca.

2)Mix all the ingredients well. Shape into thin round tikkis.

3)Shallow fry on a tawa /non stick pan till crisp and brown.

Serve at hot.

when I make this- I keep the mix. in the frig. for 30 minutes which lets it solidify and makes it easier to make the patties to shallow fry. works great every time. Enjoy.
