This was by far the easiest and best banana bread I’ve ever made. Really moist and flavorful with great texture.
The World's BEST Banana Bread
Source here (Originally adapted from Americas Test kitchen)
All Purpose flour(unbleached):-2 Cups
Toasted coarsely chopped Walnuts-1/2 Cup
Baking soda:- 1/2 Tsp
Salt:- 1/2 Tsp
3 ripe bananas
Large eggs, beaten:- 2
Melted butter:- 6 Tbsp
Vanilla:- 1 Tsp
Buttermilk or Plain yogurt:- 1/4 cup
1)Butter a non-stick bread pan, then flour well. (The flour is really important for the bread to “climb” against while baking.
2)Combine and mix well the dry ingredients in a bowl and set aside.
3)In another medium bowl, coarsely smash 3 ripe bananas (use a large spoon or spatula and don’t puree – the banana needs to be chunky)
4)To the bananas, add and combine wet ingredients (but try not to reduce the banana chunks)
5)Pour the wet ingredients into the dry ingredients and gently FOLD until the flour is thoroughly moistened
6)Pour into the prepared bread pan and spread the mixture evenly across the top.
Bake in a preheated 350-degree (F) oven for 45-50 minutes.
