Replace your plain whole wheat rotis with these healthy rotis..Another great recipe by Tarla Dalal..
Ingredients:-
Whole Wheat Flour:- 2 Cups
Besan:- 1/2 cup
Boiled and grated potato:- 3/4 cup
Spinach:- 1 Cup (Finely chopped)
Green chillies:- 2 (Finely chopped)
Fresh Curd/Milk:- 4 Tbsp
Oil:- 1 Tbsp
Salt to taste
Other Ingredients
Wheat flour for rolling
and oil for cooking
Procedure:-
1) Mix all the ingredients and make a soft, smooth dough. Add a very little water, a tsp a time if required. Too much water can result in a sticky, lumpy dough as even potatoes and spinach leave some water. Leave the dough to rest for 10 minutes.
2) Divide the dough into 12 equal portions and roll out each portion into small rotis using wheat flour for rolling.
3)Cook on a non stick tava (griddle) spreading a tsp of oil on both the sides till small dots of brown skin appears on the skin.
Serve hot with any of your favorite side dish or with just pickle and curd..Enjoy:)
