Healthy Honey Oatmeal Cookies

These are exceptionally tasty cookies that it is hard to believe that these are the Healthier ones..What could be more better than a HEALTHY COOKIE?..

There are so many gr8 things about this recipe , tastes excellent, easy to assemble , quick to prepare, gone in no time, a guilt free cookie:)..This recipe makes a perfect batch of cookies(about 10-15) so that there aren't a bunch of leftovers of tempt anyone:)..

Butter:- 3 tbsp
Brown Sugar:- 1/2 cup
Honey:- 1/4 cup
Egg:- 1
Water:- 1 tbsp
Whole Wheat Flour:- 1/2 cup( All purpose flour is good too)
Salt:- 1/2 tsp
Baking soda:- 1/4 tsp
Rolled Oats (aka Oatmeal):- 1 1/2 cups

OPTIONAL ADDITIONS:-

Chopped dates or figs or raisins or currants or chocolate chips or chopped nuts

PROCEDURE:-

  1. Preheat oven to 350 degrees F. Spray a cookie sheet with nonstick cooking spray (just for convenience :]).
  2. Using a mixer with the paddle attachment, mix together the butter, brown sugar, honey, egg and water thoroughly.
  3. Sift together the dry ingredients then stir in the oats. Add the dry ingredients to the wet and mix. Add any additional ingredients you've chosen.
  4. Drop by heaping teaspoonfuls onto the cookie sheet. Bake 12 to 15 minutes. Cool on a wire rack.
Enjoy warm with Milk in the morning or evening:)

I just made these cookies. I substituted coconut sugar for the brown sugar and added chocolate chips. They are yummy!
