Savoury Oats Pancake

Oats Utthapam/Oats Pancake/Oats chilla is very easy, quick , delicious and HEALTHY recipe. Great for breakfast as you can prepare the batter a night before and refrigerate it. You can add about 1/4 cup of rice flour too if you want to make it little crispy.

Inspired from here

Rolled Oats - 1/2 Cup
Whole Wheat Flour- 1/2 Cup
Gram flour/Besan - 1/2 Cup
Flax seeds:- 2 Tbsp
Curd- 4 Tbsp
Baking Soda- 1/2 Tsp
Water:- 1 1/2 Cups
Onion:- 1 (finely chopped)
Grated Carrot:- 1
Grated ginger - 1 Tsp
Oil for frying
Salt to taste
Garam Masala Powder:- 1/2 Tsp
Red Chiili Powder:- 1/2 Tsp
Turmeric:- 1/2 Tsp
Chaat Masala:- 1/2 Tsp

1)Mix Oats, Flour, Besan ,flax seeds and baking soda in a bowl.

2) Add curd and water to make a smooth batter..(Batter should not be too thin or too thick)Let it rest for 15 minutes.

3)Heat a non-stick pan & season with a little oil.

4)Pour the batter and spread it. Cook on medium heat till crisp and golden brown.

5)Flip and cook the other side.

Serve hot with chutney or pickle and curd. I served it with walnut-mint chutney..Enjoy:)

Preety ji you had mentioned that this can be kept overnight. Is the batter along with the curd kept overnight?

Yes you can keep it overnight, but if you want you can keep wet and dry ingredients separately and mix them together in the morning before making
