Black Chickpeas ( Dry Sabzi )
This is very easy black chickpea or kala channa recipe and is best served hot alongwith poori, raita and sooji ka halwa..This is the best meal a person can have. This combo meal is also made to be served on kanjak in Navratras.
Ingredients:-
Black Chickpeas:- 1/2 Cup (soaked overnight and boiled)
Oil:- 3 Tbsp
Cumin seeds:- 1/2 Tsp
Mustard Seeds:- 1/2 Tsp
Onion:- 1/2 (chopped)
Tomato :- 1 (chopped)
Turmeric Powder:- 1/2 Tsp
Coriander Powder:- 1/2 Tsp
Sugar:- 1/4 Tsp
Salt as per taste
Coconut Flakes:- 3-4 Tbsp
Garam Masla:- 1/2 Tsp
Coriander Leaves for Garnish
Procedure:-
1) Boil the chickpeas in water until soft , drain and set aside.
2) Heat the oil in a pan and saute cumin and mustard seeds. Add onion and saute until brown.
3) Stir in tomato and cook until soft. Add all the spices, sugar and salt and mix well.
4) Add the cooked chickpeas.
5) Take off the heat and add the coconut and coriander leaves.
Mix well and serve hot..Enjoy:)
