Let me first introduce and welcome little angel that joined our family and this beautiful world recently, I became massi of a very beautiful liitle pari who landed on my dear sisters lap on Mar 19 2010, weighing 2.9 kg
Today i especially wanted to share some sweet recipe so here it is,this sweet recipe usually made for prasad or blessed food, which is served at religious functions or you can make it as a dessert too..
Sooji ka Halwa is very popular and easy to prepare dessert, this recipe is little different than the usual way we make sooji ka halwa but it tastes too good so do try if you like the recipe.
Serves:-4
Prep Time:- 10 minutes
Cook Time:- 20 Minutes
Source:- The Indian Spice Kitchen Cookbook By Manjula
Ingredients:-
Ghee:- 2/3 Cup
semolina:- 1 1/4 Cup
Sugar:- 1 Cup ( If you don't like too sweet then you can use less sugar)
Banana:- 1 Medium ( Peeled & Mashed)
Warm Milk:- 2 Cups
Cardamom Powder:- 1/2 Tsp
Raisins:- 2 Tbsp
Procedure:-
1) Heat the ghee and add the semolina( sooji). Saute until it becomes pink and fragrant. Reduce the heat and add the sugar and stir until it melts.
2) Add the banana and mix well. Pour in the milk.
3) Partially cover the pan and cook until the mixture is dry and semolina is cooked.
4) Remove from the heat and the cardamom powder and raisins.
Serve Warm & Enjoy:)
