Suji Ka Halwa is one of the very famous deserts in North India.Usually sooji ka halwa is made with sooji and sugar but i used jaggery as it gives really nice color and great flavor to halwa.
Ingredients:-
Sooji/Semolina/ Rawa:- 1/2 Cup
Grated Jageery/ Gur:- 1/2 Cup
Whole Milk:- 1 1/4 Cup
Ghee/ Clarified Butter:- 1/8 Cup
Cardamom Powder:- 1/2 Tsp
Raisins & Sesame seeds for garnishing
Procedure:-
1)Heat ghee in a non stick pan, add sooji and sauté till golden.
2)In a separate pan heat the milk with jaggery/Gur until the gur is completely dissolved. Stir occasionally.
3)Pour the gur and milk mixture slowly to the fried sooji. Keep stirring continuously to avoid the formation of lumps.
4)Cook till the liquid is absorbed and the halwa starts leaving the pan.
Garnish with fried raisins and sesame seeds..
Serve Hot..Enjoy:)
