A Healthy Paneer Pakoda Recipe ( Easy Snack Or Appetizer)

Paneer/Indian Cottage Cheese dipped in gram flour ,semolina & bread crumbs batter and shallow fried on medium heat until crisp and brown. These are great snack or appetizer for any gatherings as they can be ready in no time. Also these can be packed for snack in your kids lunch box.

They are shallow fried instead of deep frying to make a healthy snack and i promise you won't miss the deep fried pakodas once you make and eat these.

Source:- Adapted from Chef Sanjeev Kapoor Recipe

Makes two servings / If you can share :)

Ingredients:-

Paneer/Indian Cottage Cheese:- 125 gm (cut into long thin pieces)
Besan/Gram Flour:- 3 Tbsp
Sooji/Semolina:- 1 Tbsp
Bread Crumbs:- 3 Tsp
Til/ Sesame seeds:- 1 Tsp
Salt
Chaat Masala:- 1/2 Tsp
Red Chilli Powder:- 1/2 Tsp
Garlic:- 1 Tsp (finely chopped)
Water
Oil for shallow frying

Procedure:-

1) In a big bowl mix together besan, sooji, bread crumbs, til, salt , chaat masala, red chilli powder & garlic.

2)Now add water (little bit at a time) to make a thick batter.

3)Heat the oil in a non tick pan on a medium heat.

4)Dip paneer pieces (one by one ) in the batter and apply the batter on both sides of the paneer.( The batter should stick on the paneer easily if its not sticking that means its too thin add little bit of besan to make the right consistency).

5)Place the paneer pieces on a pan and let it cook nicely until crisp and brown on one side then flip the paneer over and cook on the other side.

6)Repeat it with all the pieces.

Serve hot ..Sprinkle some chaat masala on top before serving.

Enjoy:)
