How To Substitute Flaxseed For Eggs In Baking

Flaxseed is highly nutritious , containing protein , soluble fiber and heart healthy omega-3 fatty acids. You can also buy whole flaxseed and grind it in a coffee grinder at home. They can be added to almost everything muffins, breads and other baked goods. Or just add / sprinkle some in your cereal bowl, yogurt cup, smoothies etc.

TO USE IN PLACE OF EGGS IN BAKING:-

Ingredients:-

Flaxseed (milled or ground):- 1 Tbsp
Water:- 3 Tbsp

Procedure:-

1) Combine flaxseed with water.

2) Let it sit for few minutes to thicken.

3) Use to replace 1 egg in baked goods.

NOTE:- The ground flaxseed has the binding but not the leavening properties of eggs; baked goods made with ground flaxseed instead of eggs may not be as light in texture.
