My First Cake


I recently completed Wilton Cake decorating course and would like to share with you guys my finale cake..it didn't came out as the pictures in my course book. I am still happy that I could survive through the hard times of decorating the cake. I planned to create roses on top but it was tricky than I thought. I didn't get much with the instructor in the class so my roses became cabbage flowers. Nevertheless I plan to continue my practicing and hope one day my creations match what I thought.



It all started with two chocolate cakes and butter cream frosting (very unhealthy as it contains vegetable shortening )..I am still exploring good icing options. Any suggestions on frosting recipes are welcome.

I am all excited to take next course with my instructor ( Dhanya) after she comes back from vacationing in India.

    That's such a lovely cake. Beautifully decorated. keep trying and we are waiting for your perfect cake, and for me I find this cake quite perfect, I can't do the ABC's of it.
